Jared Scaramuzzi, O.D. is a Primary Care Optometrist Eye Doctor at Holden Eye Care serving central Massachusetts & greater Worcester County. Dr. Scaramuzzi attended Rhode Island College where he earned both a Baccalaureate of Arts degree and a Certificate of Graduate Studies in Biology. He received his Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.) degree at the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and received many prestigious awards including the Pat J. Cummings award for excellence. He was President of both the Beta Sigma Kappa honors society and the Private Practice Club. It was during this time that Dr. Scaramuzzi had an externship at the number 1 eye hospital in America, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, FL. Prior to joining Holden Eye Care Dr. Scaramuzzi was in a private group medical eyecare practice in Rhode Island. At Holden Eye Care, Dr. Scaramuzzi sees patients of all ages for routine eye exams for eyeglasses and contact lenses, evaluation and management of chronic and acute eye diseases, including dry eye, eye allergies, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration (AMD) and glaucoma, and fitting of routine and specialty contact lenses. Dr. Scaramuzzi is licensed in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Dr. Scaramuzzi is a resident of Worcester County where he enjoys his free time with his wife Lisa and daughter Ava and 2 huskies, exploring the sites and experiences central Massachusetts has to offer. He enjoys playing billiards and is an avid Boston sports fan including his beloved New England Patriots.
